Part 1 :Make DVD in Windows Media Player in Windows 10
Windows Media Player is Microsoft's company produced a free media player, usually referred to as "WMP", also called "WMPlayer". It as a component built-in in the Windows operating system, and can also be downloaded from the Internet. It supported the adoption of plug-in enhancements. In Windows Media Player and later versions support to replace the interface look and feel.
In Windows 10, you can make DVD in Windows Media Player.
Note: This method is free, but your movies files must in the format that Windows Media Player supported. You will not be able to add menus or graphics to customize the DVD disc. Also DVD Making process is a little bit long, wait enough time before DVD making is finished. If your movie files are in the format incompatible with Windows Media Player, or your prefer a more professional way to make DVD, refer to Method 2.
DVD Maker allowed us to make menus and apply screen art. That is now gone. I could burn a wmv or mp4 to a dvd no problem. But it’s just a file. No menu and graphics for the person whom puts it in their DVD Player.
1. Open Windows Media Player
In the Windows Media Player Library, tap or click the Burn tab, tap or click the Burn options button Options button, and then tap or click Data DVD.
2. Insert a blank disc into your DVD driver.
If you see the list from your last selection and want to start a new list, tap or click the Clear list button to remove the previous one.
3. Find the items in your Player Library that you want to burn to the disc.
4. Drag items from the details pane (in the middle of the Player Library) to the list pane (on the right side of the Player Library) to create a burn list.
If you want to change the order of the items in the burn list, drag the item up or down in the list.
If you want to remove an item from the burn list, double-tap or right-click the item, and then tap or click Remove from list.
When you’re happy with the list, tap or click Start burn.

The Steps of DVD to Windows Media Player in Windows 10 friendly formats for playing smoothly
Step 1. Click "Add video" button to add your DVD files to the program. Or directly drag the DVD you want to convert to the left item bar.
Step 2. Select the output format

Part 3 : Play DVDs in Windows 10 for Free
1. Windows DVD Player
Windows 10 brings a lot of good stuff to the table, but it also takes away some key functionality that Windows 10 users might miss. In Windows 10, you have to say goodbye to Windows Media Center and with it, the ability to play DVDs natively. Microsoft said in May it would have a native solution for DVD playback to make up for those who lost it.
Originally this app was supposed to show up later in the year, but Microsoft’s solution is already available. In my tests, however, the app doesn’t work perfectly. Luckily, there are other options.
If you are upgrading from a machine with Windows Media Center—no matter whether it’s Windows 10 or Windows 8.1—you should see a modern UI app on your PC called Windows DVD Player.
Some people tested the app with a Lenovo X220 laptop running Windows 10 Pro, an external Transcend standard DVD player/burner, and five commercial DVDs.
In the tests the app wasn’t working properly, but it promises to be great once it’s fixed. When you fire it up, Windows DVD Player automatically detects if you have a DVD inserted and then starts playing it back.
The app had no problem getting through the FBI warnings, previews, and the menus of my DVDs, but it failed to playback a few of my movies.
It also wasn’t very good at switching between discs. To restart the app every time I inserted a new disc before the DVD would be detected. The app has no way to jumpstart playback with a play button, either. If it doesn’t detect the DVD, you must restart the app.
2. VideoLan
If you're using a prebuilt, boxed PC from a vendor like Dell or HP, your PC may already have a commercial DVD playback solution installed.
If not, a better alternative than Windows 10's half-baked DVD app is to turn to the free and always reliable VLC video player. In my tests, I was better off with using the traditional desktop app and not the modern UI version.
To get VLC working, download it from VideoLan, and once it’s installed, open the program. Assuming you have your DVD inserted, click on Media > Open Disc then just sit back and enjoy your DVDs.
It’s really that simple—though VLC packs a surprising amount of hidden power.
